COVID Protocol

Dental Associates is taking proper precautions to maintain a healthy and safe environment to continue serving you. Please take a moment to review our COVID-19 protocols.

What We Are Doing to Keep You Safe

All patients are required to answer a Pre-Appointment Questionnaire. We will call patients 2 days prior to their appointments to ask 8 brief questions. If we are unable to talk the patient at least 1 day prior to their appointment and it is NOT an emergency (pain, swelling, bleeding) we will have to reschedule their appointment. It is very important that they return our phone calls or texts. If we have to leave a voicemail we ask them to call us before the end of that business day. We also send a text asking them to call us regarding their appointment and the day and date. Once we prescreen we ask them to arrive 10 min early for their appt and meet Allen at the front door where he will as the same questions, take their temperature and ask them to wear their mask or face covering while in the office when not in treatment. Upon entering, patients will need to hand sanitize, sign the document, and then they will be taken to the back for their treatment.

What We Are Doing to Keep Our Space Safe

We are disinfecting the operatories, bathroom, and waiting room in compliance with CDC guidelines and we are taking extra steps in keeping our patients safe by fogging with Hypochlorous Acid during lunch and in the evening once all of the staff and patients are gone. The Front Desk is wiping down counters, pens and all surfaces patients touch throughout the day. We want all of our patients to know that their overall health is our priority.

What We Are Doing to Keep Our Staff Safe

All of our staff and doctors’ temperatures are taken as well as answering a lot of the same questions that our patients are asked before their appointments every morning before our morning meeting. If an employee has an elevated temp they are asked to see their primary PCP for clearance before returning to work. If an employee is feeling ill (fever, headache, stomach pain, sore throat) they are asked not to come to work for the well being of everyone.

The ADA, NMDA, and DOH have also advised all offices to open at 50% pre COVID-19 occupancy. We are currently at 40 to 50% capacity as recommended.
